Hollie: Greetings and welcome back to the Boldly Podcast. I’m your host, Hollie Swofford, the Director of Team Operations at Boldly, and I’m joined by Boldly Recruitment Manager Devin Drake to talk about working at Boldly and answer the frequently asked questions we received from candidates just like you. To kick things off, let’s hear from Devin.

Devin: Thanks Hollie, and a big thank you to everyone for tuning in. We’ve compiled a list of the top questions candidates ask, and throughout this podcast series, we’ll be answering them all. In this episode, we’re going to share commonly asked questions regarding the clients we support and how the matching works.

Hollie: This is so great as although our team members are employed by Boldly, they spend their day-to-day supporting our wonderful clients and candidates often want to know what kind of clients Boldly supports. Could you share some insights on the types of businesses and professionals our team members work with?

Devin: Ooh, I’d love to. I always enjoy talking about our clients because they are genuinely some of the best people to work with. We support clients across a wide range of industries, and every client has been a pleasure to collaborate with. This is largely because Boldly carefully vets our clients just like we do our team members, ensuring they align with our company culture. We work with clients in nearly every industry, from accounting and finance to nonprofits. Personally, when I was supporting clients, I worked with businesses in cybersecurity, angel investing, life coaching, and interior design.

Hollie: That’s awesome. I bet it made each day just so interesting. Were they all in the same time zone? Candidates often wonder where clients are located and if they need to be in the same time zone as the executives they support.

Devin: Nope. That’s the beautiful thing about working remotely. You can support people from all over Boldly supports clients in all industries across the United States and internationally. You don’t have to be in the same time zone as the clients you support. However, we will only match you with clients that fit your availability. For example, when I was supporting those clients, I was based in the Pacific time zone. One of my clients, an angel investor, was also in the Pacific Time zone, but frequently traveled internationally. The life coaching business I supported was in Mountain Time while my cybersecurity and interior design clients were located in Eastern Time, and yes, it definitely kept things interesting every day. It was exciting to work with such diverse industries and clients.

Hollie: You mentioned that we’ll only match you with clients that fit your availability. Can you expand on that a little further? How does client matching work for new team members?

Devin: Let me start by saying that we have people who do the matching. It’s not AI or some form of technology. People are at the heart of our business, and we get to know our clients and our team members really well. When you first start at Boldly, you’ll begin receiving client opportunities. After successfully completing onboarding, we have a dedicated team that matches our clients with the right team members. Once you’re matched with a client, you’ll have the chance to meet them and determine if it’s a good fit, and then if both you and the client agree to move forward after the meeting, you’ll officially begin supporting them. All team members go through a ramp-up period as they get started and as they’re being matched with clients. We’ll start by matching you with one client at a time until your client load is fully built. The number of clients you support will vary depending on your desired hours and the clients’ needs. Most of our team members typically support the same one to three clients for two years or more.

Hollie: That’s right. We are all about building those long-term relationships between team members and clients. Some of our team members have been supporting the same clients for as long as 10 years. We invest a lot of time and effort into ensuring the right match between our team and our clients. Well, everyone, that’s it for today’s questions. As always, if you have more questions or need further information, be sure to check out our website. Thanks to everyone for tuning in and we look forward to seeing you in our next episode where we’ll continue to explore your frequently asked questions and what makes Boldly a unique and exciting place to work. Until then, take care and have a great day!
